The Alliance Française disposes of classrooms accommodating a maximum
of 18 students. Audio visual supports are used together with
interactive screens and computers for self learning.
Beginners/Intermediary/Advanced/Expertise: Once your level is assessed, lessons can be chosen to fit into your
schedule either mornings, afternoons, evenings or on Saturdays.
Childrens Classes: A fun way to learn French on Saturdays
Private Lessons: Individual lessons to be studied at your rhythm or to a specific aim e.g tourism, law, journalism etc.
Tailor Made: For businesses or organizations wanting their personnel trained for their companies needs.
Conversation Classes: A relaxed way of learning, (advanced levels)
Intensive Summer Course: July and August for adults
and children.
After each term a test is taken and certificates are awarded according
to European Standards slowly enabling you to fill your portfolio
during your time with us as a student and which can be taken with
you to any other Alliance Française in the world.
DELF and DALF exams (see overleaf) are organised at the AFK twice a
year, and once a year for juniors (in June).
English, Luganda And Kiswahili Classes:English can be organized as a group class every term
Luganda & Kiswahili can be organized to answer to a special request (either with private lessons or corporate lessons)
Multimedia Library: Containing classic and modern
french literature, reference and childrens books . We have a range
of DVD films in french which can also be borrowed free of charge.

DELF A1First Step 1 & 2
Comprehension of short and simple conversations in simple
every day life situations. (2 x 60 lesson hours)
DELF A2Intermediary 1 & 2
Description of an experience, goal or an opinion using
simple sentences. Comprehension of expressions about
personal information, shopping and work. (2 x 60 hours)
DELF B1 Independant 1 - 2 - 3
Communication easy and spontaneous about a wide variety
of subjects (argument and counter-argument). Ability to
write an essay or report, giving reasons in support of or
against, a particular point of view. (3 x 60 hours)
DELF B2Confident 1 - 2 - 3
Ability to speak french correctly with ease and precision and
write any type of document correctly and without difficulty.

DALF C1Autonomy 1
Comprehension of extended speech, television and film
without much effort.
DALF C2Autonomy 2
Comprehension of any kind of dialect, even when delivered
at fast native speed, ability to write complex letters reports
or articles with an effective logical structure.
Throughout the year we also organize TEF (French
Evaluation tests) as well as French University Exams.
