The Alliance Française of Kampala is a non-profit organization fostering cultural and linguistic exchanges between France and Kampala since 1954.

Its main mission is teaching the French language and promoting arts and culture. We offer a steady progression allowing our students to meet both their personal and professional objectives.

We help our community, whether members, artists or students, to craft their future through establishing a dialogue of cultures.

The AFK is located on Plot 52, Bukoto street in Kamwokya, close to Acacia mall and in the middle of a vibrant area with many shops, hotels, restaurants and businesses.

It has a concert space created in 2021 and a Café - Déjà Brew - which also started in 2021.

It is also part of a network of 126 Alliances Françaises in Africa only and has strong ties with the neighboring Alliances Françaises of Nairobi, Mombasa, Addis Ababa and Dar es Salaam.

The mission of the Alliance Française de Kampala is to promote the French language through education programs to all ages and at all levels. We also want to encourage cultural, intellectual and artistic exchanges between Ugandans and the French-speaking world.

To create a diverse and vibrant community across the country through language, culture and inclusivity.

Excellence, Respect, Inclusivity,

Integrity, Creativity
