Terms and Conditions
Course participants must be at least 6 years of age and register in the class that is appropriate to their level and age.
Students must enrol for an entire course. All fees must be paid at time of registration. Payment in 3 instalments can be arranged, at the discretion of the course coordinator.
All pro-rata requests must be made in writing to the course coordinator: [email protected]
Alliance Française de Kampala reserves the right to cancel a class whose minimum number of 7 students is not attained.
A cancellation of 10 % of the fees is applicable within five business days before and after the course begins. Cancellation must be submitted in writing. If a course does not start as planned because of the smaller number of participants, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone the course.
Participants are obliged to comply with the course rules and house rules applicable to the alliance Française de Kampala.
The liability of AFK and its staff is limited to intent and gross negligence. AFK also accepts no liability for the cancellation of its services due to force major (e.g. natural disasters, fire, floods, war, official orders and all other circumstances beyond the control of the contractual parties).
The course shall be conducted at the Alliance Française de Kampala or at the location confirmed
Private classes are paid for in advance, i.e., one is required to pay for each hour or number of hours to be studied, beforehand.
In case of cancellation of classes by the student, the latter shall inform the course coordinator ([email protected]) and/or the teacher at least 24 hours in advance in writing for the particular lesson to be cancelled. Otherwise, the lesson shall be considered taught and shall be paid for by the Beneficiary.
The beneficiary shall promptly inform the Course Coordinator ([email protected]) of any issues that may arise and hinder him/her from continuing with the lessons (for a period of not more than one month). Failure to respect this provision will lead to nullification of this agreement. In no case shall Alliance Française de Kampala refund the fees paid.
In accordance to this contract, hours (paid) not covered by the student shall not be carried forward to the following year and management shall neither be liable to refund the fees corresponding to those hours.
All candidates must confirm registration by registering and paying for the exam before the registration deadline.
The registration is strictly personal and non-transferable
Any registration presupposes that the candidate is aware of the dates of the exam he/she will take.
Once a payment is done, it cannot be refunded under any condition. It can be transferred to another session of DELF only within the civil year (January-December) and only once. In the case of an absence on the day of the exam that has not been justified at least 24 hours prior to the exam, a medical certificate from an hospital or a medical doctor will be required by the Alliance française. It needs to be handed or sent through email to the Head of Courses, at [email protected], in a maximum of 2 working days after the exam.
All candidates must present a valid ID on the day of examination.
Exam dates and timetables must be observed. Candidates who arrive late on the day of the exam will not be allowed to take the exam. Candidates are expected 30 minutes before the starting time of the exam.
The exam center will send an e-mail to the candidates as soon as the provisional certificates are available. Candidates must pick up their provisional certificates at the front desk or request them by e-mail. Any corrections to personal information must be reported within one week from the day on which exam results are reported.
